Ohio University’s Greek in Greece Program, Spring 2008
Posted by stevehays under UncategorizedNo Comments
If you are a student (graduate or undergraduate) of Classical or Koine Greek and would like to learn your way around Greece, pick up a bit of Modern Greek, and sharpen your Classical Greek reading skills, Ohio University’s Greek in Greece Program may be just what you’re looking for. We have a lot of experience with this program. We began it in 1995 and ran further iterations of it in 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, and 2005. Students from other universities have always been welcome to join us and many have done so. Read up on our program, and contact me if you’d like to join us for Greek in Greece–late March to early June 2009.
Due to the shrinking value of the dollar, costs for the 2009 trip will be somewhat higher than those currently posted, though we cannot be sure just how much higher. We will run a new budget in May 2008. The key to keeping costs as low as possible is to recruit as many paying participants as possible, so if you’re interested, please help us spread the word to other Greek students.
